Frogs hibernate during winter and they’ll wake up in springtime, not unlike many human beings ;). During these warmer seasons you might be able to see frogs in areas near water. I’ve even found a tiny frog in our first home, when we lived closer to nature. The cats were terrified of it, so I gently placed it back near a pond. Today I’ve picked some kawaii frogs that have no problem staying indoors.
