Look What I've Got! Plush & Toys

Kawaii San-X Plush from Amazon Japan

Posted on June 5, 2017 by

I really wanted a plush of the new Sumikko Gurashi Penguin and, as often happens, ended up with a cart full of San-X plush at Amazon Japan. The Amazon Global service has made it so much easier to shop, which is no good for my credit card. Here’s what I eventually bought.

There were a lot of different Penguin plushies to choose from but I went for a keyring. It’s a little bigger than the tiny plush I usually get but still small enough to hang on a bag. I love that he’s carrying his cute little furoshiki pouch.

After dithering too long over the Sumikko Gurashi bento range, I was very happy to find these Onigiri & Tako pouches at a good price. They’re so kawaii! You can actually fit quite a bit inside them so they’re not just cute, but useful too. Being a nice sister, I gave the Tako to Nicolette. I’m still on the hunt for the tiny Tako plush but none of the sellers on Amazon ship internationally.

I was also very excited to spot some Rilakkuma Yurutto bag charm sets. I didn’t realise this series was limited edition at the time and completely missed out. Grumpy Rilakkuma is so great! I was quite tempted by the other sets too.

Here’s a link to all the Rilakkuma items on Amazon Japan just now that have international shipping available. Using Amazon Global means it’s super easy to order and shipping is very reasonable. Customs fees are paid in advance so UK buyers can avoid the horrible £8 admin fee. I ordered my plush on a Monday afternoon and the package arrived on the Friday!

This post is from 2017 so they’d be long sold out. You might get lucky and find one on Ebay or Japanese auction sites.
