We haven’t heard much from Gudetama lately, but I think that little egg acts for all of us when it cannot be bothered to move. Now the clocks have changed in the UK, it’s dark before 5pm and honestly I would also like to be in bed with my Switch at this point. So let’s embrace the laziness by eating Gudetama shaped snacks… preferably under a blanket.

I cannot get over how adorable this pull apart bread from Bento Monsters is. It’s soft and pillowy and Gudetama’s little orange face comes from kneading pumpkin into the dough. I’m also obsessed with how it even comes with bacon blankets. Perfection.

This sheet cake made by Lyndsay Sung is not only topped with Gudetama, who looks to be freshly hatched (cracked?), but has hidden egg yolks throughout it. Such a fun design!
Fancy a biscuit to go with your tea while you lounge on the sofa? Then why not make them Gudetama themed! These Gudetama cookies from Kawaii Sweet World are just perfect. The bacon blankets are optional and would probably be easier without, but they’re a lot of fun to include if you can.

Love at First Bento created these incredible sushi rolls for Sanrio and they look fabulous. They’re breakfast themed and actually filled with egg too and some of them come topped with Gudetama’s favourite bacon blanket.

These simple Gudetama pudding and jelly from Bento Days are made from almond and mango pudding packets and would be a quick and easy dessert to make.

I actually love it when Gudetama is used on egg based foods and these Hong Kong style egg tarts from Bear Naked Food fit the bill. The little face on these even make it look like he’s snoring.
If you’re in a country where you can eat raw eggs, then why not try this TKG (tamago kake gohan), or raw egg over rice. They utilise edible film to get the face to stick to the egg and it makes such a fun addition to a breakfast dish.

If you’re not feeling TOO lazy then you could challenge yourself with these artistic looking coconut macarons from Loving Creations 4U, with Gudetama lazing on egg whites and eggshells in a manner of different ways. They also come filled with a coconut white chocolate ganache, which sounds like it might put me into a sugar coma, but I think Gudetama would approve!
