Dr. Moku Japanese Apps Giveaway

Posted on September 20, 2017 by

A different kind of giveaway this week as you can learn to read Japanese with the Dr. Moku apps!

Dr Moku apps giveaway

The apps use mnemonic tricks to help you memorise the three Japanese alphabets and it really works – I learned with these apps myself a couple of years ago! Andi is currently giving it a go too and will have a review up soon. In the meantime, here’s Dr. Moku himself to show you how it works.

There’s loads of chances to win as 15 people will each win a copy of the Dr. Moku Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji apps. The apps are only for iPhone & iPad users, sorry. If you’re on Android, check out the combined app that you can try for free – it’s only a few pounds for the full version if you like it.

I’ve actually took Japanese for 6 years and am intermediate level. However now that I’m not taking classes anymore it is easy to forget! I plan on moving to Japan one day.

If I could read and speak Japanese I would talk to my grandma and great aunts in japanese and visit Japan! Occasionally I study a little bit of Japanese but it is hard to do it consistently. I am really really reallllyyyy hoping my high school adds a Japanese class. I have actually gotten the full version of the hiragana app and it is soooo good, before I had been practicing hiragana and trying to memorize them, but after using the app I was able to know all the hiragana! the mnemonics really helped and I still think of them when writing hiragana. Knowing hiragana really helps when I am learning the basics of japanese so I really need to memorize katakana, that is why I want to win this giveaway! The kanji app will also be reallyyyy useful once I get more experienced.

If I child read and speak Japanese I’d look forward to booking my first trip to Japan. And I’d also hope to impress my 15 year old daughter (although that might be harder!)

If I could read and speak Japanese, say, overnight (or in one hour!), the first thing I’d do is read every single Haruki Murakami novel in its original language. The second thing I’d do is head to the airport and book a one-way ticket to Tokyo or Osaka. :)

I really want to go to Japan someday with my dad, we have been talking about it ever since I was little. He knows the language better than I do – I honestly only know hello, goodbye, thank you and other basics so it would be nice to add on so if we ever do go I don’t have to fully rely on him.

If I could speak and read Japanese then I would finally take my little niece to Japan. I don’t have to worry about the whole miscommunication and we won’t get lost. I can even make a few friends!

  • Reply Morri September 25, 2017 at 6:05 am

Would use it when going to japan. I’m very interested in reading kanji too because I’m vegan and it would be tough to buy food if you can’t read the labels. Also, I think it’s very cute language and it would be a real pleasure to learn it.

    Ooooh! Hi there,
If I learn Japanese, wow, I would go to Tokio! Yeeeeeees, my dream honeymoon in Tokio! Hahaha just to learn from their culture and of course to shop, HA! I would definitely love to go to the Sanrio World GINZA! This would be a dream come true!

If I learn Japanese (which I will do for sure) I will first re-watch all the anime episodes and understand it. Second one is that I have a goal to visit Japan 4 times(min). So, I want to talk in Japanese and read their manga :) God Bless :)

I learned Japanese in college, but I’ve forgotten most of it! I think this app would be a great refresher. Then, once I remember things again, I would try conversing with Japanese people online so I can be immersed in the language to keep it in my head forever.

  • Reply Leticya October 2, 2017 at 2:24 am

I would be able to work in the area I want after finishing college, since I’m an International Relations student, and I would also visit Japan!

  • Reply Kate October 2, 2017 at 6:12 am

I’ve always thought I weren’t clever or dedicated enough to learn a language so I would simply use it to expand my mind and make everyday life more interesting! I would love to watch anime without focusing on subtitles and of course would love to visit Japan and be able to explore more freely.
