Cake Mix

Posted on March 20, 2012 by

Cake Mix is a new app which lets you make your own cute cupcake characters with original art by Cakes with Faces – no artistic or cookery skills required!

You can choose different coloured icing, cases, accessories, facial expressions and backgrounds to personalise your cake, then save your creations as pictures, send them to your friends or show them off on Twitter or Facebook.

There are over 5 million (really!) possible combinations, with tons of fun edible and non-edible accessories including vampire teeth, antennae, rocket packs, ladybird wings and eye patches to make your cake your own. They’re all included and all completely free.

Cake Mix features original artwork by Amy Crabtree of Cakes with Faces, a UK graphic artist specialising in kawaii Japanese-influenced characters with bold outlines and all-you-can-eat colour. You can see more cakes and more faces on

The app also includes colourful wallpapers for iPhone and iPod Touch, featuring favourite characters from Cakes with Faces. Happy sushi rolls, man-eating plants and a punching snail!

Cake Mix is completely free and you can download it here.
