Cuddly Crochet is a cute new book from Stacey Trock, who designs amigurumi patterns as Fresh Stitches. The book is full of adorable crochet projects for toys, hats, blankets and bibs, most of which feature some of our favourite animals, including bunnies, penguins, cats and koalas.
The first section includes all the basics on crochet, plus clear diagrams of the stitches used and then you’re on to the projects which have lots of photos and diagrams. I’m not a crocheter but it all looks easy to follow. Best of all, you’re getting a lot of different skills for your money, so if you’ve ever wanted to design your own kawaii toys, this is a great place to start.
Cuddly Crochet is the perfect book if you have a lot of friends with babies – you’ll never be short of a birthday gift again! I’m also sure no-one would judge you if you sized up some of the hats for yourself – they are super-cute!
Here’s some pics of my favourite projects in the book.
You can buy Cuddly Crochet on Amazon but we have one to give away! Stacey has kindly sent us a SIGNED copy of Cuddly Crochet to give away to one lucky reader. We’ll throw in some Super Cute Kawaii postcards and badges too.
Just leave a comment on this post telling us what your favourite animal is (any animal, not just in the book), and why. Contest closes at Midday (BST) on Tuesday 27th April and we’ll pick a winner randomly. Good luck!
